PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition having a high level of flame retardance without changing characteristics of the resin composition or a prepreg for a long period and to provide the prepreg impregnated therewith and a flame retardant laminate obtained from the prepreg. SOLUTION: This flame retardant resin composition consists essentially of a nonhalogenated epoxy resin containing an epoxy resin having >=3 epoxy groups in one molecule in an amount of >=70 wt.% based on the total epoxy resin, a compound curing agent having at least >=1 amino groups in the molecule and 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide. The prepreg is prepared by impregnating a substrate with the flame retardant resin composition and the flame retardant copper-clad laminate is obtained by superimposing one or more sheets of the prepreg and hot-pressing the resultant laminate. |
