Compressor air-bleed system

The air bleed system has orifices (20, 21) through an outer skin (9) of the engine housing (1) that delimits cavities (11, 12) with its lining (10) through which bled air from the compressor is fed to ducts (5) with intakes (7) round the orifices. The orifices themselves are oblong in shape, elongated in a direction tangential to the compressor and disposed in rows lying along the line of the compressor. The ducts (5) are two in number and located on diametrically opposite sides of the compressor, with their intakes enlarged in a square-section bell shape towards the outer skin (9). The lining (10) has a slit (13) between edges (16, 17) adjoining the orifices (20, 21).
