<p>The dyes, free from HSO3 and COOH gps., have formula:- (in which A and A1 and A1 = aryl gps., at least one being of the naphthalene series, R1 and R4 = H, (cyclo)alkyl, aralkyl or aryl gp., R2 = H, (cyclo)alkyl or aralkyl gp. or R1 and R2, with the N atom, = heterocyclic ring, R3 = H, alkyl, aryl, carboxylic acid ester, optionally N-substd. carboxamide or alkoxy gp., and X- = anionic radical), and may contain further substituents. They are prepared by condensing a benzoyl- or naphthoylarylamine of formula:-.</p> |
