A stand for a photographic camera is characterized by a vertical leg 5 and two supporting arms 11 substantially at right angles thereto when the stand is in use, the arms being longitudinally adjustable to vary the distance between the free ends of the arms. Each arm is adjustable relative to a bolt 8 and is spring urged into contact with one of two hinged jaws 1, 2 which define a recess in which the leg 5 is clamped. In another embodiment Figs. 1, 2 (not shown), the arms (A) are also angularly adjustable about the longitudinal axis of the leg (D). In use, the leg 5, (D) rests on the ground and the arms 11, (A) are adjustable to bear against the shoulders or chest of a user, to provide a triangularly disposed three point suspension. |
