A keypad 10 has a frame which includes ridges 18 defining a set of enclosures 17 for housing actuators 16. The actuators or keys are supported in position to prevent the actuators from moving from their intended location within the enclosures by support means 20. The ridges act to guide the user's fingers whilst typing.
