PURPOSE: A traffic control device and a method of timing sensitive data through a network are provided to pass data packets including general data packets according to predetermined priorities, in order to prevent timing sensitive data from being disconnected, thereby reducing a necessary bandwidth while maintaining a certain service level. CONSTITUTION: A data packet traffic classifier(420) receives data packets to classify the received packets, and assigns each of the data packets to each data packet traffic flow(430). A bandwidth controller(440) forcibly assigns a band which passes traffic flows only of timing sensitive data, outputs the traffic flows of the timing sensitive data, assigns an additional band except the forcibly assigned band, and outputs traffic flows of data packets which are not timing-sensitive. A scheduler(450) sequentially outputs the traffic flows of the data packets which are not timing-sensitive according to predetermined priorities.
