<p>A waste water treatment assembly has an aerobic treatment container with a number of filter elements providing a residence surface for a colony of micro-organisms. The container (2) floor has a supply of compressed air and an array of sieves, grids or nets (7, 8) close to the combined water inlet/outlet. The container inner chamber (9) has a series of filter elements. The sieves, grids or nets are separated from the water inlet and outlet (6) by gaps.
