<p>A double-ended DTS system comprises a cable (10) having at least two optical waveguides 32 with angled ends 41 coated with a reflective material 47. The angled ends 41 provide a connection between the waveguides so that light can be transmitted between them. The waveguides 32 are either optical fibres or two optical cores within an optical fibre. The cable (10) can be deployed in a single-ended tubing within a wellbore providing double-ended operation in a single-ended control line.</p> |
