PURPOSE: An accident recording device of a vehicle is provided to examine the cause of the accident accurately by recording image and sound on the vehicle and surrounding condition around the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An accident recording device is composed of a camera(10) installed in the upper center of a crash pad to look forward, a proximal sensor(20) detecting the front obstacles, a control unit(30) actuating the camera by receiving the obstacle detection signal from the proximal sensor, a recorder(40) storing the image picked up by the camera, and a screen(50) displaying the image from the camera and the recorder. A microphone(11) is formed in the camera, and the microphone and the camera are operated at the same time to store the sound signal from the microphone and the image signal from the camera in the recorder.
