PURPOSE: A lens chamfering machine is provided to decrease the installation area of the machine by restricting the dead space on the work table, and to increase the productivity and reduce working hours and energy consumption by continuously performing the first process and the second process in the same machine. CONSTITUTION: A lens chamfering machine comprises a work table(7) for storing and placing a work piece to be processed or the finished work piece, a loader(9) transferring the work piece from the work table to the processing position, a supporting frame(13) placed near the work table, two sets of processing units(10a,10b) supported in the supporting frame with the work table and operated independently, two couples of operating shafts arranged in parallel at both sides or in the upper and lower parts of the supporting frame, two wheel spindle stocks(14) guided in parallel with the operating shafts or perpendicularly to the operating shafts, and grinding wheels(6) axially supported in the wheel spindle stocks and placed on the work table. |
