PURPOSE: To provide a supporting apparatus for leading in and drawing out upper and lower roll assembly units in a strip leveling machine, wherein a gap between the upper and lower roll assembly units is automatically adjusted according to abrasion extent of work rolls when the upper roll assembly unit is descended so that the upper roll assembly unit is safely supported on the lower roll assembly unit. CONSTITUTION: The supporting apparatus(1) for leading in and drawing out upper and lower roll assembly units in a strip leveling machine comprises a lower body(30) which is moved between the upper and lower roll assembly units(110,120) of the strip leveling machine by a cylinder, and on a lower portion of which circular arc shaped receiving grooves are formed so that work rolls of the lower roll assembly unit are received into the grooves; an upper body(40) on an upper portion of which circular arc shaped receiving grooves are formed so that work rolls of the upper roll assembly unit are received into the grooves, which is installed above the lower body in such a way that the upper body is moved up and down along a slope of a certain angle and elastically supported in a direction that is lifted by springs; and a stopper means for fixing the lower body and the upper body to each other by stopping relative movements of the lower body and the upper body.
