PURPOSE: A portable monitoring camera is provide to support video-type control, enable simultaneous recording when a secondary storage device is used and show a clear image of a distant object by zooming and focusing with simple switch operations. CONSTITUTION: A lens(14) forms an optical image by collecting and diffusing light from an object. An infrared-ray LED(Light Emitting Diode)(15) capable of use at night is prepared on the surface of the lens. A charge coupled device(21) converts received light to an electric signal. A control switch(13), electrically connected to a microprocessor(20), is used for various functions such as camera power on/off, zoom, focus. and menu. An OSD(On Screen Display)(22) displays information necessary for a user. A motor controller(24) controls an electric motor of the lens in order to focus on certain distance and adjust lens interval. A regulator(23) keeps a constant voltage.
