The plant container supports (11, 13) can be extended beyond the wheels (16) and frame (17) of the vehicle (10) in order to alter the horizontal distance between the free end of the frame and the mast in a direction substantially at right angles to the travelling direction of the vehicle. The frame is moved on wheels and has a mast with height adjustable plant container supports. An independent claim is also included for a system comprising a set of rails (4, 5) with supports for holding a row of containers above the floor next to a track for the above vehicle.
