Treadle-cam chain drive contains a driving sprocket fitted on the same shaft with the pedals, a slave asterisk, a chain, a spring-loaded strainer on nonworking branch of the chain. On the same shaft with the driving sprocket and pedals is mounted a cam executed in the form of ellipsis, minor axis of which is located along the axis of levers of pedals, and which with the help of double-arm lever interacts with working branch of the chain. This embodiment of the drive allows to provide more effective use of muscular energy by additional interaction with the working branch of the chain. |
