PURPOSE: A driven type fountain system and a driving apparatus therefor are provided to adjust the direction of the fountain in the opposite directions and spatially realize the fountain in a symmetrical shape. CONSTITUTION: The fountain system comprises: a first fountain header(10) which have a plurality of nozzles(30) arranged and is rotatably installed; a second fountain header(20) which is spaced from one side of the first fountain header, has a plurality of nozzles(31), and is rotatably installed; pumps(50,51) for pumping water and supplying the same to the first and second fountain headers; a power unit(60) for providing power to the first and second fountain headers; and a power transmission unit(11,21,100,110,130) for transmitting power in a manner that the first fountain header is rotated in one direction at a predetermined angle and the second fountain header is rotated at a predetermined angle.
