PURPOSE: A lid structure of an improved cast iron pot is provided to improve flavor of rice by restricting rice water from boiling over, and to keep surroundings around the cast iron pot clean by forming the diameter of the pot lid to be less than the diameter of the cylindrical pot wall of the pot body. CONSTITUTION: A cast iron pot is composed of a pot body(20), and the pot body is composed of a pot lid(10), a pot wall(22) cylindrically formed in the upper part and a gourd type pot bottom part(21) formed in the lower part and connected to the pot wall. The diameter of the circular pot lid is less than the bore of the pot wall of the pot body, and a ring-shaped pot lid supporting holder(220) is formed circumferentially in the inner wall of the pot body and protruded inward. The bore of the pot wall of the pot body is closed by placing the pot body on the pot lid supporting holder.
