PURPOSE: An alarm device for preventing suffocation of a baby in a vehicle is provided to prevent the baby from being choked in the vehicle room by detecting and alarming the emergency state to a driver and other persons around the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An alarm device for preventing suffocation of a baby in a vehicle comprises a baby detecting unit(10) having a seat pressure detecting sensor(11) installed at the side of a seat to detect the baby on the seat, a door lever operation detecting sensor(12) detecting the baby to pull the door lever, a microphone(13) detecting voice of the baby in the vehicle room, a vehicle temperature sensor(14) detecting internal temperature of the vehicle room and a carbon dioxide detecting sensor(15) detecting carbon dioxide from the baby, a control unit(20) detecting the baby only in the vehicle room by receiving the signal from the baby detecting unit and having a transmitting module(23) alarming the emergency state to the other vehicle in detecting the emergency state and a receiving module(24) receiving the emergency state of the other vehicle, and an operating unit(30) operated by the control unit to warn suffocation of the baby in leaving the baby alone in the vehicle room.
