SURGICAL RETRACTORS EASY TO USE FOR SURGICAL OPERATIONS

PURPOSE: A surgical retractor is provided to prevent arms, handles, and rings of the retractor from being obstacles to surgical operations. CONSTITUTION: A surgical retractor(1A) includes a pair of arms(5A,5B) and a pair of handles(9A,9B). The arms are openable and closable via a hinge(7) and include a blade(3) for spreading and holding open an incision at an extremity portion thereof. The handles are provided on each of the arms to perform an open/close operation of the pair of arms. At an extremity side of the arms, bent arm portions(21A,21B) that bend downward in relation to the arm are provided. A bend line formed at an extremity portion of the blade, provided at an extremity end of the bent arm portion, is substantially parallel with the arm when seen from a lateral side.
