PURPOSE: A method for identifying a mobile network in a mobile communication system is provided to allow a mobile station to easily request an international roaming by using an IMSI(International Mobile Station Identity) of a CDMA2000. CONSTITUTION: Information on an MNC(Mobile Network Code) for identifying a network of a specific country is transmitted. An MNC received from the other party is obtained based on the information on the MNC. The network of the specific country is identified according to the obtained MNC. The information on the MNC is a length of the MNC and/or a value of the number of the lowermost digits of the MNC.
