PURPOSE: A sudden departure-preventing device of a vehicle is provided to prevent sudden departure of the vehicle by making an engine started just when a driver steps on a brake pedal. CONSTITUTION: A sudden departure-preventing device of a vehicle comprises a fuel pump(1) forcibly sending fuel; an injector(2) injecting fuel to a combustion chamber; a fuel supply pipe(3) connecting the fuel pump and the injector; a master cylinder and a booster(5) producing and boosting hydraulic pressure in operating a brake pedal(4); a hydraulic valve(6); an alternator(7) operating by an engine and producing electric power; and a solenoid(8). The hydraulic valve opens the fuel supply pipe while a valve rod(6b) is retracted into a cylinder(6a) when hydraulic pressure is transmitted from the master cylinder and the booster, and the hydraulic valve shuts off the fuel pipe while the valve rod is projected to the outside of the cylinder when hydraulic pressure is not transmitted. The solenoid valve maintains the opened state of the fuel supply pipe by maintaining the retracted state of the valve rod of the hydraulic valve while a locking rod(8b) is projected when the electric power is supplied from the alternator.
