PURPOSE: An automatic folding device of a side mirror of a vehicle is provided to prevent breakage of the side mirror from the external object in parking or stopping the vehicle by automatically folding and unfolding the side mirror corresponding to the ignition key. CONSTITUTION: An automatic side mirror folding device is composed of a fixing bracket(100) fastened outside the front of a left or right door of a vehicle, a motor(200) installed to the fixing bracket and rotated or reversed, a motor driving unit actuating the motor, a mirror housing(400) combined with the rotating shaft of the motor to mount the side mirror, a complete folding detecting unit(500) detecting completely backward folding of the mirror housing, a complete unfolding detecting unit(600) detecting complete unfolding of the mirror housing, an ignition key detecting unit sensing insertion of the ignition key in the ignition key cylinder, and a control unit controlling the motor driving unit according to signals from the ignition key detecting unit, the complete folding detecting and the complete unfolding detecting unit.
