PURPOSE: A shim fixing structure of a brake for a vehicle is provided to prevent a shim from being broken while maintaining strong durability for the pressure of a piston repeatedly given to the shim by increasing the contact area for a fixing part of the shim. CONSTITUTION: In a shim fixing structure of a brake for a vehicle, a shim(9) is put and fixed on the rear of a pad(7) producing braking force through friction by pressing a disk rotating together with a vehicle wheel in a caliper working by hydraulic pressure produced from a master cylinder by a brake pedal operated. The shim has a boss(9') protruded to cover the protruded height of embossment(7a), in a state of being forcibly fitted to the embossment protruded from the pad. The boss is formed along the shape of the pad. The boss is rounded in a predetermined radius to prevent stress from being concentrated on a bent part.
