FLAT TYPE CATHODE RAY TUBE INCLUDING PRESS BENDING MEMBERS AT OUTER SURFACE OF PANEL AND AROUND BONDING PORTION BETWEEN FUNNEL AND PANEL

PURPOSE: A flat type cathode ray tube is provided to achieve improved explosion proof characteristics and reduce costs by arranging press bending members at outer surface of panel and around bonding portion between funnel and panel. CONSTITUTION: A flat type cathode ray tube comprises a panel(1) having an inner surface on which a screen is formed; a funnel(3) mounted at a rear surface of the panel; an electron gun(4) inserted into a neck portion(3a) of the funnel so as to emit electron beams toward the screen; a shadow mask having a plurality of electron beam passing holes, wherein the shadow mask is spaced apart from the inner surface of the panel; and press bending members arranged at an outer surface of the panel and around a bonding portion between the funnel and the panel, respectively.
