COAXIAL TAPER TYPE WIDEBAND BALUN HAVING DIELECTRIC INSERTED BETWEEN INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CONDUCTORS

PURPOSE: A coaxial taper type wideband balun(BALance to UNbalance transformer) having an inserted dielectric is provided to reduce a size of an antenna system by inserting a dielectric having a proper dielectric constant between internal and external conductors. CONSTITUTION: A coaxial taper type wideband balun includes an internal conductor(101), an external conductor(103), an antenna power supply(105), a connector coupler(107), and a dielectric(102). The internal conductor serves as a transmission line. The external conductor is of a taper type and encloses the internal conductor. The antenna power supply is coupled with an antenna while the connector coupler is coupled with a connector. The dielectric having a predetermined dielectric constant is inserted between the internal conductor and the external conductor.
