PURPOSE: A plasma display device is provided to suppress the erroneous discharge by erasing the undesired remaining charges adjacent to the neighboring discharge cells. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display device includes a first substrate provided with a plurality of scan electrodes and a plurality of sustain electrode and includes a second substrate provided with a plurality of data electrodes orthogonal to the scan electrodes and the sustain electrodes. The plasma display device is characterized in that it includes a sustain period alternatively applying the sustain pulse voltage to sustain the discharge to the scan electrodes and the sustain electrodes and an erase period applying to the electrodes different from the electrodes applying the final sustain pulse voltage.
