摘要 PURPOSE: To provide a furnace body rotation melting type electric furnace with rotation decision function, the electric furnace capable of predicting melting degree of iron scrap through measured temperature values of furnace body and preventing residual scrap from colliding with electrode rods when the furnace body is rotated. CONSTITUTION: In an electric furnace for melting scrap injected into the furnace by electrode rods lifted and lowered and melting residual scrap by rotating furnace body if necessary, the furnace body rotation melting type electric furnace with rotation decision function comprises a support(120) formed such that it covers the outer side of a side portion of the furnace body(110); a plurality of temperature detecting sensors mounted on the support to measure temperature values of several spots of the furnace body that are spaced apart from each other in a certain distance along an outer circumferential direction of the furnace body; and a PLC(programmable logic controller)(170) for rotating the furnace body if all temperature values measured by the temperature detecting sensors are the same as or higher than the standard temperature value by comparing temperature values transmitted from the temperature detecting sensors with a preset standard temperature value.
