PURPOSE: A system for issuing an electronic receipt for cash and credit card settlement is provided to enable a user to record the electronic receipt to other recording medium by issuing the electronic receipt of a digital data form including detail purchase particulars of the user. CONSTITUTION: A credit card/cash settlement device(50) processes the credit card or cash settlement by receiving the purchase particulars and settlement information of the user. An electronic receipt storing means(200) stores a control block(210) for controlling data I/O(Input/Output) and is equipped with a memory(220) for storing data. An electronic receipt issuer(100) is connected to the credit card/cash settlement device and the electronic receipt storing means through each interface(160,165), generates the electronic receipt of the digital data from by combining the purchase particulars and the settlement received from the credit card/cash settlement device with the information of an electronic receipt issuer, and stores the electronic receipt to the electronic receipt storing means.
