An electromagnetic relay with its armature 112 generally parallel to its coil axis has its armature 112 mounted on a flat biasing hinge spring 114 having a width extending transverse said armature substantially greater than its length extending longitudinally of the armature. The spring 114 is mounted on a recessed face 102 of a magnetic frame member 96 at one end of the relay core 94. The current setting may be adjusted by setting a back stop screw 126. An insulator 132 attached to a brass bracket 124 on the armature 112 carries brackets 136 supporting movable contact spring bridges 138 which co-operate with fixed contacts 144. An indicator 148 is attached to the insulator 132 and its upper arm (150) may be seen through a transparent housing extension (Figs. 1 and 2, not shown), when the electromagnet is de-energized. Normally open or normally closed contacts or any combination thereof may be provided. |
