PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bolt gauge for facilitating the handling of a bolt to which a bolt gauge is attached. SOLUTION: The bolt gauge is provided with a sensor part 5 attached to the axial part 3b of the bolt 3 and for generating an optical signal corresponding to the deformation of the bolt 3, an operational part 9 for performing the operation on the deformation on the basis of the optical signal from the sensor part 5, a transmission part 7 made of an optical fiber for transmitting the optical signal from the sensor part 5 to the operational part 9, and a protective tube 13 into which the optical fiber forming the transmission part 7 is inserted. The protective tube 13 is attached to the position corresponding to a hole 11 formed at the head part 3a of the bolt 3 to which the sensor part 5 is attached, in the state in which it projects from the surface of the head part 3a of the bolt 3 to which the sensor part 5 is attached. Because the optical fiber is hardly broken according to the protective tube, the handling of the bolt to which the bolt gauge is attached is thereby facilitated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
