PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for precisely and efficiency measuring an organic halogen compound concentration while reducing the burn-out or deterioration of an adsorbent and dispensing with an inert gas or a decomposition device. SOLUTION: In this measuring method of an organic halogen compound, the total concentration of organic halogen compounds in a sample gas is measured by a measuring means 20 such as gas chromatograph or coulometric titration. This method comprises: a process for passing the sample gas 10 through an inorganic adsorption column with catalyst 12 having an inorganic adsorbent and an organic compound decomposing catalyst to adsorb all the organic halogen compounds; a desorption/decomposition process for desorbing all the organic halogen compounds by heating the inorganic desorption column with catalyst 12, and decomposing all the organic halogen compounds to hydrogen halide; and a process for measuring the desorbed/decomposed hydrogen halide by the measuring means 20.
