PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe propulsive machine not hindering the flow of mud by attaching a closing device in a mud passage without difficulty in manufacturing the closing device in the mud passage, in the pipe propulsive machine providing a cylindrical supporting member to constitute a guide and attaching the closing device. SOLUTION: In the pipe propulsive machine including a guidance composed of a guide body constituted of a front inner pipe, a rear inner pipe 2 and a connecting pipe 5 for connecting a buried pipe and the cylindrical supporting member consituted of a front outer pipe and a rear outer pipe 4 and fixed on the circumference of the guide body so as to form the mud passage 6, producing the plastic flowable mud by injecting viscous liquid into excavated earth and sand and sending the mud backward through the mud passage 6 to a discharge part of the mud to the ground through an earth and sand take-in opening of the guide body, and leading the remainder to the circumference of the buried pipe, a circular elastic body 34 expanded and contracted by the intake and exhaust of pressure liquid and capable of closing and opening the mud passage 6 is provided to the connecting pipe 5 in the rear of the earth and sand take-in opening, and an elastic material-made shape holding member 35 capable of holding an axial cross section of the elastic body 34 flat is put inside the elastic body 34 against mud pressure in the case of contraction.
