PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet material taking-out/supplying device capable of eliminating separation failure of sheet materials by efficiently handling the sheet material with an air flow. SOLUTION: This sheet material taking-out device for taking out the top layer sheet material among a sheet material layered bundle inside a sheet material housing unit to be driven for elevation by an elevating means to transfer it to a sheet material carrying device is provided with a sheet material separating means for separating a lower layer sheet material from the top layer sheet material by blowing air between the sheet materials, a suction carrying means having a suction opening for sucking the top layer sheet material, which is floated by the blown air, to transfer it to the sheet carrying unit, and a control means for controlling them as a whole. The sheet separating means has injection holes in a plurality of lines in the vertical direction, and the sheet materials of the sheet material layered bundle are previously handled by the injection holes provided in lower parts till the sheet material is raised to the top layer position.
