PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately and efficiently machine a plurality of works, by providing a technological means capable of easily and accurately positioning and fixing a work table with works fixed thereto to a machine tool, and guaranteeing positional accuracy of the works when turning the work table upside down. SOLUTION: The work fixing structure is characterised in that a pair of edge metals 27 provided with a gripping object surface having, in the vertical direction, intermediate projecting circular arc shape or an intermediate projecting V-shaped meshing groove symmetric to a central surface, and obverse-reverse reference planes existing at an equal distance in parallel to the central surface, are installed on the opposed both sides of the work table 22, a pair of bases 26 provided with a downward gripping surface having a vertical directional meshing groove, are installed on the opposed jaws 24 and 25 of a vice, the reference planes are pressed to and brought into contact with a receiving surface 28a arranged in the vice by downward gripping component force acting from the gripping surface when fastening the vice, and the width directional position of the work table 22 is regulated by meshing of the gripping surface and the meshing groove of the gripping object surface.
