A fuel filter is located in a container, through which the cooling water of the engine flows. The filter transmits engine waste heat via the filter housing to the fuel. The fuel filter is screwed to the cover of the container, to prevent cooling water escaping into a fuel pipe when the filter is replaced. Container and filter consist of a single modular part. Fuel from injection valve returns is directly fed into the fuel filter via a connection.
