<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the unification of outputted image quality in a tandem output image forming system. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming system is provided with a means for storing the history of application and the maintenance cycle or the like of a latent image carrier or developer in an image forming apparatus, and a function for selecting the image forming apparatus outputting an image based on data on the history of application and the maintenance cycle or the like. By controlling the history of application so that the deterioration states of the latent image carriers or the like of the respective image forming apparatuses may be nearly the same, the conditions of the image forming apparatuses are adjusted so that the outputted image quality may be nearly the same among the image forming apparatuses.
