<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a martensitic stainless steel suitable for high-strength electromagnetic parts which are required to have both of high strength and superior magnetic properties. <P>SOLUTION: The martensitic stainless steel for the high-strength electromagnetic parts comprises, by weight ratio, 0.15-0.45% C, 1.50-3.00% Si, 1.00% or less Mn, 9.0-14.0% Cr, 1.50% or less Mo, and the balance Fe with unavoidable impurities; and includes 10% or less retained austenite, after having been quenched and tempered. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
