PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planetary gear drive of small back lash and high moment capacity. SOLUTION: In this planetary gear drive 1, an internal gear 2 composed of a thin elastic internal gear is mounted on a cylindrical housing 6, and a carrier 5 mounted inside thereof in a concentric state, is rotatably supported on an inner peripheral face of the cylindrical housing 6 with its both ends supported through an input-side taper roller bearing 7 and an output-side taper roller bearing 8. A sun gear 3 concentrically mounted inside of a cylindrical part 5b of the carrier 5 is installed in a state of being floated in the direction perpendicular to the axis. The eccentric contact caused by the errors in installation and manufacturing of gears 2, 3, 4 can be automatically resolved by the elastic deformation of the internal gear 2 and the sun gear 3, and the engagement of small back lash is achieved.
