PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fault detection method capable of reducing tester's and developer's operation which is performed as to faults of a developed program. SOLUTION: The fault detection method for detecting faults in the prepared program comprises a test management information registration step for registering test management information including information for specifying a specification output result outputted as to the specification of the program, an output result acquisition step for executing the developed program and acquiring an output result outputted from the developed program, an output result comparison step for comparing the output result with the specification output result, and a fault information presentation step for presenting fault information including faults in the developed program when the faults are detected as the compared result of the output result comparison step.
