PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a check valve hardly catching foreign matter contained in a working fluid, enabling an increase in mechanical strength of a valve element, allowed to open at a high speed, and manufacturable at low cost. SOLUTION: This check valve comprises the valve element 10 having an open/close portion 102 opening and closing a flow passage, a fixed portion 101 fixed to a valve seat, and an arm portion 103 connecting the fixed portion 101 to the open/close portion 102. The check valve is formed such that the thickness of the arm portion 103 at least on the fixed portion 101 side is smaller than the thickness of the fixed portion 101 in contact with the valve seat 20 and the thickness of the open/close portion 102 surrounding the outer periphery of the flow passage 201.
