<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a moving image onto a monitor based on an image signal obtained by imaging an object using an imaging element at a frame rate higher than that at which the monitor displays the moving image. <P>SOLUTION: A monitor 11 generates the image signal by imaging the object continuously by a CCD 3, with a frame number greater than the frame number with which the monitor 11 displays the moving image. The generated image signal is stored into a memory 7. When displaying the moving image, an output controller 6 generates a representative image signal by adding an image signal of a predetermined number of frames supplied from either an image processing section 5 or a compression/decompression section 9, and outputs the image signal to the monitor 11. Also, when displaying a still image, the output controller 6 outputs the image signal supplied from the image processing section 5 or the compression/decompression section 9 to the monitor 11 without modification. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
