<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content data reproduction / transfer apparatus for transmitting data encoded by an encoding parameter in response to the processing capability of an external terminal. <P>SOLUTION: The content data reproduction / transfer apparatus 1 for transmitting content data in response to a data acquisition request from the external terminal 3 is characterized by including: a storage means 14 for storing first content data encoded by a first encoding parameter; a reception means 11 for receiving the data acquisition request and a second encoding parameter attached thereto; a reproduction means 15 for reproducing the first content data; a content data re-encoding means 12 operable by one of a plurality of the encoding parameters applying re-encoding to decoded content data resulting from decoding the reproduced function content data by the first encoding parameter by using the second encoding parameter to create second contents data; and a transmission means 13 for transmitting the re-encoded content data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
