<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card with a plurality of new and old applications with different baud rates installed thereon with that the applications are selectively usable. <P>SOLUTION: The ID card has a plurality of new and old applications installed therein, with the new and old applications having different baud rates (F-D) which serve as data transfer rates.
