<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pixel circuit with which an influence of the wiring capacity of a data line can be suppressed and image quality of high uniformity can be obtained without receiving an influence of the variation in the threshold of an active element within a pixel and the variation of the mobility thereof, and provide a display device and a driving method for the pixel circuit. <P>SOLUTION: A transistor (TFT) 113 connected between the gate and drain of a drive TFT 111 of the pixel circuit 101 is conducted and the TFT 111 is cut off before writing of an input signal current in a current driving type active matrix organic EL display. Further, before writing of the signal current, the potential of the data line is set at a reference voltage Vref by each 1H and thereafter the input signal current is written.
