摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the effect of initial elution while utilizing a margin capable of ion exchange to reduce the cost of equipment and running cost. <P>SOLUTION: The subject system comprises a plurality of resin cylinders containing exchangeable resins, and each resin cylinder is connected with pipes via valves. In subject ion exchange method, the resin at the lowest stream is used as one at the highest stream, the resin at the middle stream is used as one shifted downstream, and a new resin is used as one next to the highest stream. The above series of operations are carried out by exchanging the resins and changing passages through valve operation as the resin exchange method. As a result of the operations, the new resin at the middle stream is cleaned and the resulting initial elution of the new resin is eliminated by the resin downstream to the new resin. Meanwhile, the resin at the highest stream can be utilized effectively without considering an element of margin because of the resin arranged downstream. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
