PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hemostatic pad which can shorten the time to stop bleeding, improves the working efficiency to lighten the burden on a patient and an operator, improves a sense of security during pressing so that a certain hemostasis is performed to give a safe feeling to the patient, makes the hemostatic work simple to lighten the burden on the operator, is excellent in reliability, certainty and maneuverability, and is specially adapted to hemostasis of a patient whose blood is not easy to coagulate and of a dialysis patient whose bleeding volume is large. SOLUTION: The hemostatic pad includes a permeable elliptic cylinder-like body formed in an approximate elliptic shape and a pinpoint pressing section which is formed with an impervious film or sheet attached to at least a hemostatic surface on a longitudinal side surface of the above elliptic cylinder-like body.
