PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the frame area of a display panel and to lower the power consumption by simplifying the constitution of a driver circuit arranged in the circumference of a pixel area. SOLUTION: This display device is so constituted that TFTs (T1), (T2), and (T3) are connected in series in a pixel GS and the TFT (T1) is connected to a drain signal line DL1. The TFT (T3) is connected to a pixel electrode 1 of liquid crystal LC. A ground potential (0V) is applied to one-terminal sides of a 1st capacitor C1 and a 2nd capacitor C2. The other terminal of the 1st capacitor C1 is connected to a connection point N1 between the TFTs (T1) and (T2). The other terminal of the 2nd capacitor C2 is connected to a connection point N2 between the TFTs (T2) and (T3). Control pulse signals A, B, and C for controlling those TFTs to turn on and off are applied to gates of the TFTs (T1), (T2), and (T3), respectively. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
