<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording material with high ink absorbing properties, without deterioration of quality such as crazing, and capable of obtaining a high image density, and a method for recording using it. <P>SOLUTION: This inkjet recording material is characterized by having a porous ink receiving layer comprising an inorganic fine particle, a polyvinyl alcohol with a saponification value of at least 95 mol% and a compound expressed by general formula (1) with a molecular weight of ≤200 on a substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
