<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery in which high rate discharge characteristic, low-temperature characteristics and cycle life or the like are well balanced and safety is high. <P>SOLUTION: This is composed of a positive electrode, a negative electrode which contains carbonaceous material and bonding agent wherein storage and release of lithium is possible, and the nonaqueous electrolyte. The specific surface area of the carbonaceous material is 2-5 m<SP>2</SP>/g, the bonding agent contains particle shape denatured styrene-butadiene rubber, the amount of the particle state denatured styrene-butadiene rubber is 0.6-1.7 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the carbonaceous material, the particle shape denatured styrene-butadiene rubber is composed of core shell type particles, the core shell type particles contain acrylonitrile units in the core part, and the surface area of the carbonaceous material which the negative electrode contains is 300-600 m<SP>2</SP>per 1 g of the particle shape denatured styrene-butadiene rubber. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
