<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication terminal in the W-CDMA system adopting the intermittent reception system that enhances a waiting time by shortening the required time from re-synchronization with a common pilot signal until detection of the presence / no presence of an incoming call so as to suppress the consumption of a battery. <P>SOLUTION: A matched filter of the mobile communication terminal makes a shift register 11 read an I/Q reception signal synchronously with a chip clock, a complex multiplier group 12 and an adder 14 carry out a correlation arithmetic operation between the I/Q reception signal and a scrambling code set to a scrambling code register 13 in units of symbol clocks to take re-synchronization, and simultaneously carry out a correlation arithmetic operation between a re-synchronizing signal and a calling code addressed to its own station set to a call code register 17 to detect a call signal.
