<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that a system manager must construct a plurality of nodes of a clustering system in order to realize many effects of the clustering system, and that the system manager must search a target device present in the system or install such a device. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of processor devices, a plurality of storage devices and a management server connect to each other via a network. The present method comprises the steps of storing device information regarding the processor devices and the storage devices and topology information regarding the network topology; identifying at least one set of primary computer resources; selecting at least one set of secondary computer resources suitable as redundant resources corresponding to the at least one set of the primary computer resources based on the device information and the topology information; and assigning the at least one set of the secondary computer resources as the redundant resources corresponding to the at least one set of the primary computer resources. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
